Professor Scolyer, who passed away earlier this year at the age of 57 after a brave public battle with brain cancer, was best known for his dual role as a patient and a pathologist. Diagnosed with an aggressive glioblastoma in 2023, he pioneered an experimental treatment regimen based on his own research into immunotherapy for melanoma.
